Pavel Zlatarov is one of the most distinguished representers of the younger musicians` generation.At age of 24 he won the prestigious position of leader of Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra which incited even more his career as a violinist.He has performed as a soloist of leading Bulgarian orchestras such as Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, Plovdiv Opera-Philharmonic Society, symphonic orchestras of Shumen, Pasardjik, Vidin and Bourgas. Pavel Zlatarov is winner of the third prize of the International violin and piano competition „Pancho Vladigerov“, 1999, Shumen. In the same year he was nominated as „Young Musician of the Year“ by the audience of „Allegro Vivace“ radio program. In 2003 he was invited as guest-concertmaster by Filarmonica Toscanini- Italy, Parma, under the batton of Lorin Maazel. In 1999 he founded string quartet „Helios“ and with it carried out a recording of Milcho Leviev`s string quartet for the composer`s CD. In 2005 Pavel Zlatarov performed with great success for the first time Leviev`s „Sonata for violin and symphonic orchestra- 1957“. He also had series of successful solo concerts in Japan with Japanese pianist Keiko Imae and is invited back again in October 2007 for another tour in Shintoku,Sapporo,Yokohama and Tokyo. Since 2003 Pavel Zlatarov studies conducting with prof. Vassil Kassandjiev. He already made his debute as conductor with Academic symphonic orchestra. He enrolled in the program for distant education of Association of Royal Schools of Music-London and in June 2008 received his FRSM degree (Fellowship of Royal Schools of Music). |
