| Description |
Hayato Naka was born in a musician family in Vienna. He first trained at the Schubert Conservatory Vienna with Professor Margarete Biedermann, between 1993 and 2006 he studied at the Private University Vienna Conservatory in Professor Eugenia Polatschek's master class. In 2006 he obtained his diploma with honour by unanimous decision. Since 2004 he has been studying with Professor Michael Frischenschlager at the University for Music and Performing Arts Vienna. 1995: 1st prize at the International Competition "Cittá di Tortona", honoured with a special prize "Borsa". 1997: 1st prize at the International Competition "Cittá di San Bartolomeo" in Italy. 1st prize at the International Competition "Cittá di Stresa" in Italy (all competitions with maximum points). 1999: Debut with P. I. Tchaikovsky's concerto in Konzerthaus Vienna, accompanied by the orchestra of Vienna Conservatory under conductor Maestro Professor Georg Mark. 2000: 1st prize at the California International Young Artist's Violin Competition, honoured with the special prize "Best performance of a sonata". 2001: Semifinal at the XVII. International "Viotti" Violin Competition in Valsesia (Italy). 1st prize at the International Violin Competition "Schloss Zell an der Pram" (Austria). 2002: Semifinal at the IX. International Violin Competition "Andrea Postacchini". Recieved a scholarship at a "Fidelio"-Award in Vienna. 2004: Semifinal at the Johannes Brahms Violin Competition in Pörtschach (Austria). Hayato Naka has attended many master classes with Norbert Brainin (Amadeus Quartet), Zakhar Bron, Evgueni Bushkov, David Chan (concertmaster of the New York Metropolitan Opera), Mikhail Kopelman (Kopelman Quartet), Herman Krebbers (concertmaster of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra), Johannes Meissl (Artis Quartett), Josef Mostetschnig (concertmaster of the Graz Opera), Bohumil Smejkal (Janacek Quartet), Takashi Shimizu, Michael Tseitlin, Konstantin Weitz, Grigori Zhislin and Florian Zwiauer (concertmaster of the Wiener Symphoniker). He performs as a soloist in recitals and with chamber groups (Quartet, Trio) at home (Radiokulturhaus Vienna, Konzerthaus Vienna, Musikverein Vienna etc.) and abroad (throughout from Europe, Russia, Asia, USA to Australia) with exceedingly successes. Furthermore he had some formative artistic impulse by Professor Boris Kuschnir or cooperations with Julia Fischer, Natalya Gutman, Martin Hornstein, Yakov Kreizberg, DeAnn Letourneau (concertmaster of the Las Vegas Philharmonic) and Mvstislav Rostropowitsch. At November 2001 he gave his fulminated debut abroad as a concert violinist with Tchaikovsky's concerto accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra of Kiev, conducted by Maestro Allin Vlasenko. Between 2002-2004 Naka was primarius of the Fidelio Quartet (first trained by Professor Alexander Arenkow, student of David Oistrakh and primarius of the worldwide renowned Glinka Quartet, Moscow), which qualified 2003 successfully for the IV. Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition, to which only 12 String quartets were permitted (auditions on every continent). 2004 he founded the Naka Quartet (trained by Robert Nagy, solocellist of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra), which got an offer to perform through the project “Mozart Vienna 2006”. 2005-2006 he was in a chamberclass of Altenberg Trio. Since 2004 member of the Wiener Bachsolisten. 2006 he was on Faculty at the International Music Festival Lassing, held in Austria, from 2008 master courses in Montevideo and Bethlehem are planned. Currently he is a member of the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra (Norway). Several broadcast-, and CD-recordings. |
